Independence Day Fireworks
We went down to the Jetties beach to see the fireworks this year. Unfortunately, the Nantucket fog rolled in quickly before the display began and turned the fireworks show into a dud. We had fun anyway!

Paddle Boat Maiden Voyage
We took our new paddle boat out on Hummock Pond for it’s maiden voyage. We saw turtles, ducks, a hawk and a beautiful sunset.

Independence Day Main Street Water Fight
Every year, there is a water fight on Main Street between the Nantucket Fire Department and the Reserves on an antique fire truck. The kids looked forward to it for months since they enjoyed it so much last year, but this year, they got a little cold and the usual kiddie pools with water were not available, so we found ourselves without “ammunition”. Johnnie did improvise.
