North Shore Giants – Mejia 8U Cannot Hold Onto Lead Versus Patriots 8U Smith

Despite leading by as many as four runs, North Shore Giants – Mejia 8U fell to Patriots 8U Smith 8-5 on Thursday at TBD.
Patriots 8U Smith were the first to get on the board in the first when S grounded out, scoring one run.
North Shore Giants – Mejia 8U jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Myles H walked, Thomas W was struck by a pitch, Chase P walked, Frankie G singled, and PJ R walked, each scoring one run.
Patriots 8U Smith jumped into the lead in the top of the fifth when G hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs, and L A singled, scoring one run.
Chase P, Frankie G, Myles H, PJ R, and Thomas W each drove in one run for North Shore Giants – Mejia 8U. Dylan W went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead North Shore Giants – Mejia 8U in hits. North Shore Giants – Mejia 8U had patience at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. Myles H and PJ R led the team with two bases on balls each.
