NS Giants Mejia 8U Fall After Strong Showing By NS Giants Sanfilippo 8U

NS Giants Mejia 8U had trouble keeping up with NS Giants Sanfilippo 8U in a 13-4 loss on Tuesday at Middle Country 2 (60′).

NS Giants Sanfilippo 8U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Ryan B walked, Angelo G was struck by a pitch, Anthony V walked, and James M walked, each scoring one run.

NS Giants Sanfilippo 8U scored six runs on three hits in the top of the second inning. Donovan L induced Michael S to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Angelo G singled, scoring one run, Anthony V drew a walk, scoring one run, and James M singled, scoring three runs.

Jameson S began the game for NS Giants Mejia 8U. They gave up zero hits and four runs (three earned) over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking four. James M led things off on the bump for NS Giants Sanfilippo 8U. They gave up three hits and two runs (zero earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking none.

Frankie G, the number seven hitter for NS Giants Mejia 8U, led the way with two runs batted in. They went 1-for-2 on the day. Frankie G, Phillip (PJ) R, Nolan T, Landon W, and Jordan Z each collected one hit for NS Giants Mejia 8U.
