John’s First Games With the Red Devils
John played his first three games with the Moriches Bay Red Devils 11U travel team this weekend. He did pretty well and definitely held his own. He played third base and right field. He even got his first hit, not to mention an RBI ground out in his first game. Listen very closely for his brother Frankie cheering him on in the video below.

Cardinals Come Back To Defeat Mariners

Cardinals trailed by as many as five, but came back to best Mariners on Saturday, 9-5.
Mariners got on the board in the top of the first inning after Dylan walked, Tyoer grounded out, Brandon walked, and Wyatt stole home, each scoring one run.
A single by Henry extended the Mariners lead to 5-0 in the top of the second inning.
Cardinals tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to a single by Patrick O, a steal of home by Antonio C, and a steal of home by Patrick O.
In the bottom of the fourth, Cardinals broke up the tie when Antonio C drew a walk, scoring one run. Then a triple by John G followed to extend the lead to 9-5.
John G earned the win for Cardinals. The pitcher surrendered one hit and five runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking five. Joshua R collected the save.
John G provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Cardinals with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Cardinals had a strong eye at the plate, amassing 10 walks for the game. Joshua G and Antonio C led the team with two walks each. Joshua R threw an immaculate inning in the fifth, striking out the side on nine pitches. Joshua R, Patrick O, James V, and John G each stole multiple bases for Cardinals. Cardinals ran wild on the base paths, tallying 13 stolen bases for the game. Cardinals were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. John G had the most chances in the field with one.
Tyoer and Henry each drove in one run for Mariners. Henry led Mariners with one hit in one at bat. Brandon paced Mariners with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game. Ryan m, Rj, Tyoer, Jayden, and Wyatt each stole multiple bases for Mariners. Mariners ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 14 stolen bases for the game.

Cardinals Walk-Off In Nail-Biter Against White Sox

Cardinals took Sunday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 10-9 walk-off victory over White Sox. The game was tied at nine in the bottom of the fourth when catcher’s interference scored one run.
Both teams had their chances in the game, but eventually Cardinals took the lead thanks to a catcher’s interference in the fourth inning.
Cardinals got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Antonio C was struck by a pitch, Ryan Z walked, and Hleb H grounded out, each scoring one run.
White Sox made the score 4-3 in the top of the second after Shane drew a walk, scoring one run, Jack drew a walk, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored two runs.
Cardinals captured the lead, 7-4, in the bottom of the second when Joshua R singled, scoring one run, Kaeden F singled, scoring one run, and Cameron K doubled, scoring two runs.
In the top of the third inning, White Sox went back into the lead after Jaeger doubled, JoJo walked, Cam singled, and Jordon stole home, each scoring one run.
Cardinals jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Ryan Z was struck by a pitch, and John G stole home, each scoring one run.
Anthony walked, which helped White Sox tie the game at nine in the top of the fourth.
John G earned the win for Cardinals. The pitcher allowed one hit and one run over one-third of an inning, striking out one and walking one. Will took the loss for White Sox. The hurler went one inning, giving up two runs (one earned) on zero hits, striking out two and walking four. Antonio C led things off on the bump for Cardinals. The hurler gave up zero hits and four runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking six. Cameron K appeared in relief for Cardinals.
Kaeden F went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Leadoff hitter Joshua R led Cardinals with two hits in two at bats. Cardinals Roll Past Cubs

Cardinals easily dispatched Cubs on Wednesday at Doubleday , 15-8.
Cardinals got on the board in the top of the first inning after Cameron K walked, Kaeden F stole home, Hleb H walked, and John G stole home, each scoring one run.
Cardinals added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Bryan L grounded out, Kaeden F singled, John G walked, and Joshua R walked, each scoring one run.
Cardinals scored five runs on one hit in the top of the third inning. Samuel Z drew a walk, scoring one run, Bryan L singled, scoring one run, Kaeden F drew a walk, scoring one run, and Ryan induced Cameron K to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
John G earned the win for Cardinals. The hurler gave up two hits and four runs over two and one-third innings, striking out three and walking six. Ryan took the loss for Cubs. The starter went two innings, allowing 17 runs on four hits, striking out five and walking 20.

Strong Hitting Not Enough As Cardinals Falls To Rays

Even though Cardinals collected two hits to Rays’s one, they still fell 5-3 on Tuesday at North Shore Little League Inc. Cameron K and John G each collected one hit for Cardinals.
Rays were the first to get on the board in the first when Christian hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs.
John G tripled, which helped Cardinals tie the game at two in the bottom of the third.
Antonio C led things off on the hill for Cardinals. The lefty surrendered one hit and two runs over two innings, striking out five and walking four. Ryan started on the bump for Rays. The starter allowed one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out three and walking two.
John G went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Antonio C paced Cardinals with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting six walks for the game.
Christian provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Rays with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-1 on the day.
