Adenoidectomy and Ear Tubes
Philomena had her first surgery this morning. Mommy accompanied her, (they only allow one parent in) into the operating room at 7:05 am and the procedure started at 8:00 am. By 8:40 am, Dr. Goldstein came out and told us that everything had gone well. It was a rough day for all of us, but we seem to have gotten through it. Philomena is still groggy but seems to be her usual self underneath. She woke up pretty rough from the anesthesia, and it was incredibly difficult to see her so inconsolable, but Mommy, as usual, was able to make us both feel better.
The nurses are probably talking about us. Daddy probably used as many tissues for himself as he did for Philomena! Philomena has cousins that have been through SO much more complicated and risky procedures, and we have absolutely no idea how her Aunts and Uncles ever got through it and never want to find out.
We are just both so thankful and relieved to have our little girl back home, safe and sound.

Essex Steam Train With Cousins Torres
We went on a exciting ride on the Essex Steam Train. Philomena loved meeting Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Pedro the Penguin. She was less than enthusiastic about meeting Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. A great time was had by all.
