Walk-Off Seals The Deal In NS Giants Mejia 9U Victory Over Patriots Black

NS Giants Mejia 9U took Thursday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over Patriots Black at Field 3. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the sixth when Dylan J tripled, scoring one run.

The bottom of the lineup was strong for NS Giants Mejia 9U. Leo B, Jameson S, and Landon W combined for five of the team’s seven hits in their victory. They scored three runs and drove in two.

NS Giants Mejia 9U got on the board in the first inning after Matteo C grounded out, scoring one run.

NS Giants Mejia 9U added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Leo B singled to the right side of the infield, Landon W doubled to center field, and Dylan J walked, each scoring one run.

Patriots Black tied the game in the top of the third thanks to a single by Liam, a wild pitch, a walk by Grayson, and a wild pitch.

NS Giants Mejia 9U took the lead in the bottom of the third. Zayn M drew a walk, scoring one run, to give NS Giants Mejia 9U the upper hand, 5-4.

Patriots Black took the lead, 6-5, in the top of the fourth thanks to two ground outs.

NS Giants Mejia 9U scored on a wild pitch, which helped NS Giants Mejia 9U tie the game at six in the bottom of the fifth.

Frankie G started on the hill for NS Giants Mejia 9U. The starter surrendered one hit and six runs (two earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking three. Mike opened the game for Patriots Black. The starter allowed three hits and five runs (three earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking four. Ethan M tossed two and two-thirds innings of no-run ball for NS Giants Mejia 9U in relief. The hurler surrendered zero hits, striking out two and walking one.

Leo B and Landon W were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for NS Giants Mejia 9U while hitting back-to-back. Leo B, Dylan J, and Landon W each drove in one run for NS Giants Mejia 9U.

Mike and Nicky each drove in one run for Patriots Black. Liam led Patriots Black with one hit in two at bats.
