    NS Giants Mejia 9U Cannot Hold Onto Lead Versus SWR Wildcats

    NS Giants Mejia 9U lost to SWR Wildcats 13-11 on Tuesday at Field 7 even though they once led by six runs.

    NS Giants Mejia 9U collected seven hits and SWR Wildcats had nine in the high-scoring affair.

    SWR Wildcats opened the scoring in the first after Daniel M hit a solo inside the park home run.

    NS Giants Mejia 9U captured the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the third when a wild pitch scored one run, and Ryan M hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs.

    SWR Wildcats flipped the game on its head in the top of the sixth, scoring seven runs on five hits to take the lead, 13-11. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in one.

    Long Island Sharks jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jax V tripled, scoring one run, Jayden C tripled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

    Long Island Sharks extended their early lead with four runs in the top of the second thanks to home runs by Daniel B and Jayden C.
